Halloween

Halloween in the OP is rather crazy!
We have a neighborhood that does a 'professional' haunted house in their garage and driveway. They bring in lots of people and tons and tons of candy to be had! Gramma came for the festivities and couldn't believe it when she saw the chaos that ensued!

Daniel dressed as a warewolf; Ben dressed as a biker guy and Josh dressed as another biker guy.
They all had a great time and got way too much candy!

Swim Meet

Ben & Daniel swam in the Pumpkin Push Swim Meet.
We had no idea what they were in for.
It was the first time they swam in a really deep pool and against other kids!
They each swam in the breast stroke & freestyle.
They got ribbons for the places and were so proud of themselves!
Maybe we will do more swim meets?
We will see.

Fires

Here we go again!
There are fires raging out of control and burning like mad in Malibu, Canyon Country, Irvine, San Diego, Moorpark ...
We are ready to go if need be.
It's really scary to think that we might have to leave again.

Catalina & Weekend Jaunts

Ben & Dad went to Catalina Island for the weekend with Trailblazers.
I hope they had an amazing time.

Josh & Daniel & Mom stayed home. We got out Halloween decorations. Went shopping for Dad's birthday present and looked for some clothes for the boys.

It was nice to spend time with the two of them!

Noah's Ark at the Skirball Center

We went to see Noah's Ark at the Skirball Center with the Goodman's. What a great exhibit it is and what a nice time to be had by all!

Even the big kids enjoyed it too!

Swim Team

We put the boys on swim team. They are *loving it*. They swim three times a week and just in the last two weeks have improved dramatically. They are so proud of themselves!

Ben's Headaches and his appendix

Ben's headaches continued thru the weekend until it reached an all time high on Sunday.
I took him to urgent care where they transferred us to the hospital to rule out appendicitis.

Sure enough, after a nasty CT Scan of his gut and one of his brain he was scheduled to have his appendix out!
Mom's intuition is always right. I knew something was wrong with him.
Poor guy.
He is recouperating nicely and was very, very brave.
I hope he feels better soon.

And, his headaches are gone!
Maybe it was all related?
I suppose we will never know!
