Only in California could you do this on Christmas Eve...
What an incredible day we had! Temperatures were in the 70s, the Beach was BEAUTIFUL and Jack (our Lab) had a fantastic time in the water and chasing the birds! We found tons of sand dollars and the beach was absolutely perfect! We took our friend Hanna with us and we all had a great time!
Now we go home and wait for Santa! Even if Josh thinks he is not real...he has some great things planned for the kids!
Every year the Elephant Seals come to San Simeon on the Central Californa Coast! It really is quite a sight! The male seal is looking for a mate and he throws his head back and puts his trunk in his mouth and really creates a scene! It's definitely worth a stop to see these amazing creatures!
Our Hanukkah tradition is to light all of our menorahs. We have seven! It's quite a sight when they are all lit. Once they are all lit we listen to the song Hanukkah Blessings by the Barenaked Ladies and give thanks for our family. This year in our little family for Hanukkah we gave gift certificates of special things the kids can do for each other rather then gifts. The kids seemed to really like that! I think that will be our tradition from now on - rather than all of the gifts. The kids need nothing! Happy Hanukkah!
